Job Summary
BTA is looking to add to our growing team a Survey Technician. Applicant must be willing to travel and work in an outdoor environment. On the job training will be provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes the following but other duties may be assigned as needed.
· Development of survey maps, plans and other deliverable documents in accordance with company standards and procedures.
· Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings and sketches.
· Operate computerized data collection.
· This is a key role, with the opportunity to grow long term both as an individual and with the company.
· This position involves working outdoors most of the time.
· Data entry into AutoCad (Training will be provided)
Job Requirements/Expectations
· The ability to walk, climb and maneuver outdoors to conduct field surveys and able to lift and carry survey equipment.
· Outdoor work in inclement weather may be necessary.
· Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in person, in writing and over the phone.
· Indoor work involves using a computer and other standard office equipment, sitting, standing and light lifting
· A valid driver’s license is necessary and must be open to travel to field locations, including overnight stays as needed.
· Interacts positively and effectively with people in all levels of organizations.
· Good organizations skills
· No roofing knowledge required, all necessary training will be provided
· Working knowledge of AutoCad not required but helpful.
