Responsibilities
Leadership and Implementation
Leadership level: Assistant Director
Location: Working from our Chicago Loop office 2-3 days per week. Or CO, GA, IL, MA, MD, MI, NC, NY, OH, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI or DC with four trips to our Chicago office per year.
Travel: 20% of the time traveling on behalf of IA
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, plus excellent benefits. Please read more about our benefits here.

Responsibilities
Leadership and Implementation
- Co-create and implement strategy for recruitment, onboarding, branding, and storytelling for the network, including website, email, and SM promotion, entry-level training, and public narrative efforts
- Oversee recruitment, implementation, integration, and impact measurement of core ELN programs, including: 2 fellowships, an annual leaders' convening, and sector cohorts.
- Ensure compliance with or complete administrative duties including reviewing and updating database for accuracy, website updates, quality control checks on following internal systems (granting, financial payments, contract processes), power point development, etc.
- Advise Summit leadership on selection of trainers
- Develop and manage network budget
- Refine, manage and adapt recruitment strategy across ELN programs to ensure pipeline of Emerging Leaders meets short- and long-term organizational goals; conduct one on ones to cultivate relationships
- Serve as primary internal liaison for the ELN, channeling resources (members and funding) to appropriate org practice areas (e.g., higher ed, workplace, health, narrative, bridgebuilding, learning, operations, evaluation, etc.)
- Provide thought leadership and support to ELN cohort leaders; cultivate thought leadership within ELN cohort leaders
- Work with Strategic Communications to capture video and other narrative features of Emerging Leaders on location across the US throughout the year
- Engage Emerging Leaders to contribute to the public narrative strategy through Interfaith America Magazine and other narrative outlets
- Supervise Program Coordinator, responsible for operational and relational support for network, as well as CRM management
- With IA director, identify and implement ongoing strategic alignment of the ELN with IA’s mission, vision, program strategy, and business plan
- Lead or contribute to additional network projects as determined by organizational needs and cultural realities
- Ensure that all programming delivers on IA goals and grant requirements
- Build relationships with external networks and professional associations and represent IA at conferences and networking spaces of emerging leaders
- Collaborate across organization as needed to promote IA mission, including grant reporting, operational compliance (workflow, evaluation, CRM, etc.), and other org-wide projects as needed
- Maintain and interpret advanced understanding of IA theories and commitment related to interfaith cooperation, civic pluralism, and social change
- A Bachelor’s degree
- 6-8 years of project management or community organizing experience
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple ongoing projects from multiple stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong competence in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Willing to learn and utilize organization-wide constituent relationship management software (Salesforce)
- Authorization to work in the United States
- High level of religious literacy and fluency in diversity, pluralism, and inclusion
