BTI Security is accepting applications for Full-time and Part-time Armed Security Officers in Austin, Texas. A requirement for this position would consist of Secret Security Clearance.

BTI seeks to hire a high caliber of security guards who demonstrate professionalism and a solid commitment to protecting and securing our sites, staff, and clients.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Armed Security Officers perform a variety of security-related duties depending on the post.
• Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on-premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures per contract.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents that may have occurred.
• Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
• Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely.
• Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience security experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a customer service-driven mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers.
  
  

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Diploma/GED

At Least 2 Years of College

Certification Requirements (Any)

TxDPS Security License (Texas Armed)

CPR/First Aid

This is a Full and Part-Time position 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekends.
