BTI Security is accepting applications for a Full-time Hourly Exempt Armed Protective Service Captain in Alabama. This is designated as an Essential position. BTI Security seeks to hire a high caliber of security officers who demonstrate professionalism and a solid commitment to protecting and securing our sites, staff, and clients.

Job Skills / Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision and oversight of public and private sector organizations. Duties include supervising more than 30 Security Officers, enforcing policies, discipline, scheduling personnel, managing daily operations.
• Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred.
• Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
• Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
• Leverages excellent listening and service skills in emergency response and evaluation procedures
• Performing CPR or first aid when needed
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Desired candidates should have a bachelor’s degree (any field of study) OR 3 years of credible civilian/military law enforcement, or business management experience that demonstrates the individual’s capacity to effectively manage a security guard services contract.
• A minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard) component
• Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend English, and be able to compose written reports in English
• Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a customer service-driven mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers
  
  

Physical Demands

• PSO’s shall be physically able to perform tasks in performance of assigned duties
• Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping up to 12hours pr day, either indoors or outdoors
• Ability to remain on post up to four (4) consecutive hours with sitting, eating or relieving bladders/bowels
• Ability to remain alert for up to 12hours, with ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations

This is a Full-Time position 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekends, Holidays.
