BTI Security is accepting applications for experienced and licensed Security Operations Center (SOC) Dispatchers (Armed) to provide security service at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. The candidate must have an active (ARMED) SPO license issued by the District of Colombia (DC) Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB).

Responsibilities SPOs (Armed) Dispatchers shall perform specific duties and have specific responsibilities documented in Government SOC Post Orders.

Responsibilities SPOs (Armed) Dispatchers shall perform specific duties and have specific responsibilities documented in Government SOC Post Orders.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Monitoring the computer-based alarm and access control systems and closed-circuit television systems
- Emergency response coordination
- Telephone and radio communication coordination between the Shift Supervisor and SPOs
- Internal and external emergency notification
- Maintenance of a daily activity log of incidents and preparation of reports of incidents
- Maintaining a lost and found articles log
- Receiving, issuing, storing, and accounting for controlled property
- Responding to Kennedy Center staff and the public regarding security-related questions (lost and found, etc.)
- Physically demonstrate the ability to log onto various computer systems, i.e., C·CURE, Intranet, Lost & Found, and email.
- Demonstrate the ability to type at least 25 words per minute.
- Knowledge of accessing the Security Share Drive / (Teams) and locating various policies.
- Demonstrate basic telephone protocol.
- Can complete various reports, i.e., shift reports, incidents, and deficiency.
- Have a basic understanding of how to conduct a key and equipment inventory.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in law enforcement, security, or a combination of both. Possess a high school diploma or equivalency; Current SPO Armed license issued by the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a SOC, which includes experience in the operation of computer-based alarm monitoring and access control systems and radio/telephone
- Possess a current “CPR/First Aid” card issued by the American Red Cross or equivalent
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
