Job Skills / Requirements
- Conduct regular and random bike patrols of exterior and assigned locations.
- Ability to enforce rider safety.
- Bike Patrol Officers perform various security-related duties depending on the post.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, problem-solving manner.
- Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
- Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures per contract.
- Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents that may have occurred.
- Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
- Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely.
- Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
- Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.
- High school diploma, a General Education Degree (GED) recognized by the U.S.
- Associate Degree or two years of college
- Ability to ride bicycles adequately to perform duties in a proficient manner
- Two (2) years of verifiable experience as an Unarmed security officer
- Must have a current and valid Maryland Unarmed Security Guard Card/Permit
- knowledgeable of the security industry
- Must have a customer service-driven mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers/clients.
- Shall be physically able to perform tasks in the performance of assigned duties
- Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors
- Ability to remain on post for up to four (4) consecutive hours without sitting, eating, or receiving a break
- Ability to remain alert for up to 12 hours, with the ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations
