======== Essential Job Functions ========
- Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and
applicants for hire as warehouse associates and/or drivers.
- Plans and coordinates work, trains, motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of
equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations; counsels, records and
disciplines as necessary.
- Evaluates the performance of warehouse operation and distribution; maintains accuracy and
- Monitors material handling from receiving to distribution and ensures being compliant with
- Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety protocols.
- Responsible for day-to-day delivery planning for truck drivers, including delivery routes and
- Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
- Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control and assures timely data
- Maintains the equipment structure to accomplish the warehouse and distribution mission in a
transport and storage of all materials.
- Researches material handling equipment and cooperates with purchasing department to
cost.
- Responsible for all truck and forklift maintenance; well documents the maintenance history
- Meets with other managers and supervisors to confer about products, receiving/shipping
- Anticipates and requests funding for future personnel requirements. Anticipates and requests
- Responsible for and participates in semiannual inventory count (possibly on a weekend).
- Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
- Obligation to answer to all management as requested.
======== Physical Requirements ========
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Specific vision abilities are required, including close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral
- Ability to handle and move up to 165 pounds assisted occasionally
- Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours occasionally
- Working Conditions – open busy area with loud noises
======== Other Requirements ========
- Business level English – Read/write/speak/listen
- Other language such as Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese preferred
- Box truck driving experiences preferred
- Clean driving records in the latest 3 years
- Forklift certified is required
- Solid Knowledge in logistics and trucking, particularly in DOT regulations and IFTA.
- Experienced in working with the 3rd party trucking company such as Penske or Ryder.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed
- High school Diploma required; B.S. or B.A. in business management, industrial
- Minimum 5 years of warehousing experience required; 10 years preferred
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience required; 5 years preferred
