BTI is accepting applications for experienced and licensed Armed Special Police Officers (SPO) . Candidates must have an active Armed SPO license issued by the District of Colombia (DC), Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), or Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB).
Duties / Responsibilities
Armed SPOs shall perform all tasks in accordance with the duties outlined within the Post Orders, which are prepared by the Office of Safety and Security for all shifts on each post. Some of the duties include but are not limited to :
- Provide visual deterrence against wrongful acts against our client’s employees, customers, and property.
- Understand company policies and successfully executes his / her post orders.
- Access Control Package Screening (X-Ray Machine).
- Personnel screening (Hand Wands / Magnetometers).
- Traffic Control Visitor processing.
- Vehicle inspection.
- Communications and dispatching.
- Patrol areas inside and outside of the facility.
- Emergency and event response.
- Requires standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
- Correctly attired in uniform, equipment, and grooming.
