OPFOR/Threat Cyber SME

BTS Software Solutions is seeking a OPFOR Threat Cyber SME to conduct cyber red team operations to support military operational exercise objectives. This opportunity is for an upcoming award expected in May 2025.

Job Description:

Executes Red Team Operations to enable an organization to assess Cyber readiness and awareness through scenario-based controlled incidents. The Cyber SME works to achieve specific objectives by covertly breaching the client’s network as quietly as possible without raising alarms that result in detection by Blue Teams. The SME may have to achieve physical security objectives to gain access to the network at a client site. The SME is expected to be able to turn observations and weaknesses into specific, concrete improvement points and document lessons learned.

Primary Location: Fort Eustis Virginia or Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

Clearance Requirement: TOP SECRET CLEARANCE

Degree Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree

Relevant Experience:

• Participates in traditional penetration testing assessments.
• Performs red team assessments including physical, social engineering, and network exploitation.
• Performs internal and external penetration testing of network infrastructure and applications.
• Performs well controlled vulnerability exploitation/penetration testing on applications, network protocols, and databases.
• Performs network reconnaissance, OSINT, social engineering, and physical security reviews.
• Identifies and evaluates complex business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement.
• Facilitates the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with recent experience in military exercise planning, plus military operational experience. Must have cyber experience and be a US Citizen.

Pay Range: $165,000-$185,000
