Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, vehicle operation, and adherence to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, specifically our box truck, to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Ensure all deliveries are made in accordance with company policies and customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems.
- Experience operating box trucks, vans, or other commercial vehicles.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) when necessary.
