What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - T3 position at BU_IS, Raytheon Technologies?
Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector position at our Forest, MS location. The effective candidate will work from Assembly Instructions, blueprints, quality control specifications, oral and written instructions, and contractual requirements. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Inspect for final acceptance, all types and series of hardware to determine that build, rework, modification and repairs conform to contractual/drawing requirements.
Inspect and accept electronic and/or mechanical hardware referencing quality control standards, workmanship and drawing specifications by checking such items as parts, wires, solder joints and terminals through the use of appropriate inspection devices.
Inspect and reject for tests or rework or otherwise approves hardware as acceptable.
Prepare reports and maintain records as required.
Meet necessary certifications as required.
Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required.
U.S. Citizenship required, as the candidate must have the ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
Required Skills
Minimum (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment or comparable experience
Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, and rulers
Experience with drawing and blueprint reading
Ability to understand and communicate with engineering teams, facilitators, and managers
Ability to inspect to the Solder Institute of Printed Circuits (IPC) Joint Standard 001E, Military Specifications (MIL Specs) and Process Specifications
Ability to inspect and use a Manufacturing reporting System to document observations and defects
Ability to recognize and enforce compliance to Raytheon Technologies’ policies and procedures
Ability to perform quality inspections with minimal mentor oversight
