Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead a migration project from Hadoop MapReduce to Snowpark. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in data architecture, focusing on data migration, data modeling, and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the migration of data processes from Hadoop MapReduce to Snowpark.
Design and implement data models that support business requirements.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Ensure best practices in data governance and compliance are followed.
Qualifications:
Experience:
12 years in data architecture and engineering.
Proven experience in data migration projects, especially from Hadoop to modern platforms.
Technical Skills:
Spark Coding/Development Experience (MUST)
Snowflake Experience (MUST)
Hadoop MapReduce Experience
Leadership Skills:
Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
