Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and movement of goods within the facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including standard forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and containers with precision.
- Safely stack and store materials in designated areas while ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill order picking tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks in the workplace.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to material handling equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment such as cranes, order pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
