The primary objective of this role is to safeguard assets by ensuring adherence to internal control procedures and regulations. This is achieved through thorough store inspections and supervision of assigned employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, including main doors, restrooms, building perimeter, fueling positions, and property perimeter
- Serve as a conflict resolution agent in cases of customer disputes
- Secure premises and personnel by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and equipment, and permitting entry
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures
- Control traffic by directing drivers
Reporting and Documentation:
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Interview witnesses and obtain signatures as necessary
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work on the store's busiest days
- Ability to adapt to a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night shifts
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance
- Effectively complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Interact professionally with other team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, law enforcement, or loss prevention is preferred
- Must be a licensed Peace Officer
- Prolonged walking or standing for 8-12 continuous hours
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing, pulling, and lifting product or material weighing 40 lbs or more
