About the Role
This role is responsible for protecting company assets by ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect Company Assets: Regularly inspect company assets, including main doors, outside entrances, restrooms, building perimeter, fueling positions, property perimeter, and other areas as needed to identify potential security risks.
- Manage Customer Interactions: Resolve customer disputes in a professional manner, utilizing effective communication skills to resolve issues.
- Ensure a Safe Environment: Patrol the property, monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points, and permit entry to authorized personnel to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report Incidents: Report irregularities, inform violators of policy and procedures, and take necessary actions to prevent losses and damage to company assets.
- Direct Traffic: Direct drivers to ensure smooth flow of traffic and maintain a secure environment.
- Complete Reports: Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures.
Requirements
- Experience and Qualifications: Previous retail, customer service, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is highly preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Must be a licensed Peace Officer with the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
Prolonged walking or standing for 8-12 continuous hours, frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing, pulling, and lifting product or material weighing 40 lbs. or more.
