Job Summary:
Performs a variety of tasks to ensure the facilities managed by the courthouse staff are cosmetically maintained and running smoothly in order to protect county assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, strip, and wax floors and stairs.
- Responsible for following all OSHA safety guidelines and procedures
- Clean surfaces of building interiors, entrances, and furnishings, by dusting, disinfecting, and polishing all offices and all restrooms
- Provides clean-up for special events and meetings
- Assists with set-up and tear-down of equipment and furnishings, if needed
- Required to stock essential supplies
- Coordinate the necessary supplies and communication with the Courthouse Maintenance Manager
- Assists in ensuring that the Courthouse and facilities are in safe operating condition
- Clean all glass and windows
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors, including but not limited to the lobby, halls, restrooms, and offices
- Strip, re-wax, and buff floors (will train)
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a positive attitude toward working with the public
- Take initiative to provide a clean attractive environment
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
High School diploma required.
One year of custodial work or related field, preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to work independently without supervision
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques
- Preferred knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment/machinery and appliances; floor buffers and scrubbers (will train)
- Must be knowledgeable of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Ability to present self in a highly professional manner with a variety of offices and professional situations, by maintaining a positive and respectful attitude, while working independently and in a team environment
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs with ease.
- Must be able to push, pull, carry, or lift heavy items regularly; up to 60 lbs
- Position will require some strenuous activity; must be able to walk, stoop, bend, lift and be on your feet all day

Pay: $35,360.00 - $39,250.00 per year
