What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Packaging Associate position at Buchanan Group?
Summary : A Shipping & Packaging Associate e xamines all material for quality standards in preparation for shipment to customer, crates and packages all product shipped and coordinates shipment of product to customers. Ensures all shipments are consistent with the applied customer orders and meet the QC and production standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Production Stock – Examine and quality inspect all produced product to match customer orders.
- Production Stock – Crate and assemble granite pieces to conform to ordered product.
- Develop bills of lading and coordinate / prepare finished orders for shipment.
- Validate shipping addresses to customer orders to ensure correct destination information.
- Load trucks with customer orders for shipment.
- Perform team duties for the delivery and installation of memorials.
- Load setting truck with customer product to be delivered and / or set at designated cemeteries.
- Process shipping paperwork / bills of lading to factory office every day for shipments that day.
- Monitor shipping requirements to maximize shipping output / volume.
- Safely operate fork truck to move product throughout plant.
- Safely operate overhead cranes to move product throughout plant.
- Participate in physical inventory counting and documenting.
- Other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
