SUMMARY
Responsible to complete tasks, working with the site service team in the maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of the facility and equipment, while promoting a safe, efficient and productive team environment.
This person will need to be self-motivated to complete tasks discovered before being assigned. Needs to be a self-starter and be able to set priorities if needed. Sometimes this person will be multi-tasked to work on a few different projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintenance of the facility, including cleanliness of restrooms, breakrooms, lobby, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc. as assigned.
- May perform minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, restocking paper towels, tissue and other supplies.
- May perform pressure washing, painting, patching holes, regulatory inspections, supply inventory, window cleaning and repairing, biohazard cleanup and trash removal.
- May use powered equipment such as motorized vehicles, vacuum cleaners, leaf blowers, salt spreaders, de-icing trucks and other machines.
- Assists in examining the facility for safety hazards; additional services that are needed, reports deficiencies to supervisor to be scheduled for planned repair.
- Responsible to secure keys and security badges issued.
- Scheduling in line with Site Service Team.
- Assist in cleaning of machinery.
- Sweep and mop production isles, and dust machinery.
- Order, stock and maintain cleaning and break room supplies.
- Clean out machines and coolant spills
- Empty barrels within assembly.
- Setup and teardown for special events.
- Operates a forklift and pallet jack.
- Ability to handle sharp knives and other items continuously throughout the shift.
- Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
- All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication, ability to work well with others.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Previous experience in similar industry preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Maintenance Repairs (60%): Maintain and repair the exterior and interior of the property. This can include assembling, installing or repairing systems or equipment using hand tools; painting or repairing, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall or other parts of building structures. Provide general grounds keeping services when assigned, such as trash removal, grounds upkeep, Site services duties.
- Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, sanitation requirements. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their lead, supervisor or Manager.
- Safety & Preventative Maintenance (30%): Perform routine preventive maintenance as scheduled, under the direction of Maintenance Management. Possess knowledge and keep current on the emergency procedures for the property. Conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled for office, public areas, site-equipment and carpet care. Maintain organized work areas and equipment.
- Other (10%): Communicate effectively with all maintenance staff to ensure smooth function of services. Stay in touch with the lead regarding needs that arise during the shift. Schedule all work to be done at a minimum of inconvenience to the plant. Provide transportation to guests as needed. Other duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
