SUMMARY
Assembles and packs various types of product by performing the following duties.
SCHEDULE
Monday - Thursday, 6:30 AM - 3:45 PM
Friday, 6:30 AM - 12:00 PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to read a bill of material
- Ability to identify products / part numbers
- Assemble specified number of product as indicated by written instructions and/or bills of material
- Ability to work at a pace that meets or exceeds established cycle times.
- Place sheath and/or product into appropriate packaging(box/clam)-based on bill of material requirements
- Label boxes/cards with correct UPC barcode/label type
- Process accurate transactions in AX- back flushing
- Keep accurate written records on packing log sheets
- Ability to identify quality defects
- Build up master packs for various customers for stock and/or for shipping
- Fill flow racks with product from over flow - keep magnets updated
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principals to everyday work flow
- Practice 5S in the workplace
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with co-workers
- Ability to handle sharp knives and other items continuously throughout the shift
- Practice 5S in the workplace
- Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies
- Must be able to stand for full shift
- Must be able to lift up to 40#
- Must be able to operate a pallet jack
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- Overtime will be required as needed
- All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
