WAND-TV in Decatur, Illinois is looking for a Building Maintenance Engineer to assist with critical operations at our facility. This position will be responsible for maintenance and repair of our station’s overall physical property. Responsibilities : Physical property maintenance. Repair lighting fixtures. Refinishing and painting walls. Perform building, fire & security inspections. Landscaping as needed Stock and re-order building supplies. Specialized cleaning. Snow and ice removal. Assist maintenance engineers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications : Requires a minor level of 24 / 7 emergency availability and shared on-call with other engineers. Hours must be flexible, nights and weekends expected. Knowledge of building maintenance. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education : High school diploma required. Experience : Knowledge of electrical wiring, air conditioning and heating helpful Computer : Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office. Interested candidates must be flexible to work a varied schedule. This position may require working nights, weekends, holidays and be on-call as necessary. The pay for this position is $18-$21 hourly based on experience.
