Job Summary
The Graphic Designer is accountable for the following items:
Education and Experience
Walking, kneeling, standing, stooping, sitting, driving, hearing, talking, vision (close, distant, color, depth perception, adjust focus), and use of hands and fingers. Light lifting of 30 lbs. is occasionally needed
- The Graphic Designer supports internal and external clients by creating clean, professional, attractive design. The Graphic Designer reports to the Creative Director.
- There are no direct reports to this position.
- Interfaces with the following positions with the company: Marketing, Business, Ad Sales and Community Affairs
The Graphic Designer is accountable for the following items:
- The Graphic Designer creates presentations, logos, collateral, promotional materials, marketing support, print advertising, video titles, outdoor advertising, signage, and retail support.
- The design and management of any required print and digital work on a weekly or monthly basis;
- Creating graphics from concept through completed product;
- Maintaining accurate accounts of all projects assigned within the project management system;
- Coordinating the needs of all internal and external clients to ensure deadlines are met;
- Communicating and working as an effective team member;
- Meeting/collaborating with Creative Director, other Graphic Designers, as well as any of the team members to discuss direction, projects, best practices and deadlines;
- Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the EEO and safety guidelines, at all times;
- Performing miscellaneous department duties as needed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic or fine arts or other related field, specializing in graphics design and/or marketing promotion and one year of directly related work experience (freelance or otherwise); or 2-year associates degree or certificate program and three years of directly related work experience—required
- Portfolio review—required
- Previous practical work experience using Adobe Suite (Id, Ai, Ps)—required
- Previous practical work experience creating PowerPoint/Keynote presentations—required
- Practical work experience using Microsoft Word or equivalent—preferred
- Experience with Mac OS/Apple platform, file sharing, and file management—required
- Drawing/illustration skills—preferred
- Ability to use a Wacom tablet or similar device—preferred
- Copy writing skills—preferred
