Position Summary:
The Industrial Painter/Finisher is responsible for the finishing process of custom steel pressure vessels following construction. This role includes responsibilities including pressure testing, cleaning, painting and shipping. The ideal candidate will have experience with various industrial painting systems and be capable of maintaining all painting equipment. Additionally, this role involves assisting with the final fitment of components, building skids, and preparing shipments. This is a full-time 1st shift position with standard hours from 6:30am-2:30pm Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
-Pressure Testing
- Plug all fittings with threaded or bolt on components
- Fill with water and pressurizing up to the specified pressure
- Inspecting for leaks
-Surface Preparation and Cleaning:
- Use sanders, deburring tools, and industrial cleaners to prepare vessels for painting.
- Ensure surfaces are free from imperfections and contaminants.
-Painting:
- Apply various types of paint including primers and multi-coat epoxy systems using airless, pressure pot, and HVLP paint systems.
- Ensure proper paint application techniques for high-quality finishes.
- Maintain and care for all painting equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
-Final Assembly and Shipment Preparation:
- Assist in the final fitment of components onto vessels.
- Build skids for secure transportation of vessels.
- Load finished products onto trucks for shipment, ensuring safe and damage-free delivery.
Experience:
· Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
· Proven experience in industrial painting, specifically with airless, pressure pot, and HVLP systems.
· Experience using pneumatic sanders, grinders, and other deburring equipment
· Ability to prepare surfaces for painting and perform high-quality paint jobs.
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Self-managed with excellent time management skills.
· Capable of maintaining and troubleshooting painting equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of safety procedures related to power tool use and industrial painting
· Ability to communicate and build relationships
· High level of urgency and accountability to meet customer needs.

Education and Certification Qualifications:
· High School Diploma
