What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Technician position at Buckeye Home Medical Equipment?
Can you deliver Customer Excellence? Our busy medical equipment company is currently looking for a new Delivery Technician for our Oak Ridge office. Successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transport, delivery, and set-up of medical equipment. Driver position also includes in-house duties such as preparing next day's orders, shipping/receiving tasks as necessary, equipment cleaning and maintenance. Driver will work with delivery team or perform deliveries solo. Routes vary daily but home every night. Monday through Friday work week with some overtime. Rotating on-call schedule, with $200 bonus and overtime pay when applicable.

You can make a difference to those who need Oxygen, Nebulizers, CPAP, BIPAP, Trilogy, Diabetic Shoes, Lift Chairs, Hospital Beds, Power and regular Wheelchairs, all types of bathroom safety, home modifications and pain relief management. Each of our locations have a Certified Shoe Fitter to assist our diabetic patients providing education on the importance of Diabetic Shoes. We also have a division that provides Women’s Health Care to breast cancer patients with a Certified Bra Fitter to assist with fitting bra’s, camisole and prosthesis and numerous retail items such as wigs, turbans and compression sleeves. What we need from you:
- Responsible for setting up medical equipment in the patient’s home in a professional, safe and timely manner.
- Responsible for teaching the patient/caregiver about the safe and proper use of the equipment they are receiving.
- Maintains documentation of delivery, setup and instruction of equipment. Completes required forms.
- Make routine deliveries and pickup of equipment and supplies for existing patients.
- Move equipment using any means including stairs, ramps, dollies, lift-gates. Team-lift or carry up to 100lbs.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and cleaning of all equipment is necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, phone etiquette a must
Requirements for Delivery Technician Position:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Technicians are expected to have good personal hygiene and appearance, friendly and compassionate with a philosophy of “patient first.”
- Valid Class F (non-CDL) driver's license (can receive during first 30 days of employment on company time)
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to Pass Drug Testing and Background Check
