What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lathe Operator position at Buckeye Supply Company?
We are seeking an individual to run/operate a manual engine lathe. Candidate should be experienced using a manual lathe along with vertical end mill & drill press. Candidate should also be experienced in reading blueprints. Experience in welding/fabricating along with mechanical knowledge is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications and tolerances for machining operations.
- Operate lathes and other precision machinery to fabricate components according to design requirements.
- Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure quality and precision in production.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize manufacturing processes and adhere to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of production and quality control measures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
