Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Playground Monitor is responsible for the maintenance of safety and conduct of student during passing, recess, lunch, and playground time as assigned.
This position is at our Camerado Springs Middle School. Work hours are approximately 10 : 45 a.m. to 1 : 15 p.m. during the school year. Wednesday work schedule is 10 : 00 a.m. to 12 : 30 p.m.

BUCKEYE UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT
POSITION : Cafeteria / Playground Monitor
DIRECTLY REPONSIBLE TO : Principal / Assistant Principal
BASIC FUNCTION :
Under general supervision, the Cafeteria / Playground Monitor is responsible for the maintenance of safety and conduct of student during passing, recess, lunch, and playground time as assigned.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Supervises and seats students during lunch period.
2. Supervises students in the corridors, on the playground and in the restrooms as assigned.
3. Stresses to all students safe standards of behavior according to school rules and regulations.
4. Reports immediately any flagrant violation of school rules to the site administrator.
QUALIFICATION : KNOWLEDGE OF :
- general needs and behavior of children at age level being supervised
- school rules and regulations
- games children play
- basic first aid
ABILITY TO :
EXPERIENCE :
Experience in working with school age children effectively is desirable.
EDUCATION :
High School graduate or equivalent desirable.
SALARY : Range 2 Classified Salary Schedule
