JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Lead provides leadership by managing a team of operational support personnel and duties associated with team leadership including but not limited to overseeing operations, warehouse shipping and receiving, inventory, and reporting and analytics. The position will oversee a team of 2-5 direct reports and may be responsible for additional dedicated resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing the work and productivity of the team and supporting production
- Responsible for inventory and warehouse activities.
- Responsible for maintaining a productive relationship with all of operations
- Identify improvement opportunities to continuously improve team performance
- Oversee and maintain shipping and receiving paperwork and processes
- Develop, maintain, and deliver training to warehouse colleagues
- Responsible for FIFO and product rotation
- Responsible for the safety and food safety of the department
Education
High School degree required or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment along with at least 1 year of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
Skills
- Ability to read and understand SOPs
- Customer Service skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of receiving and shipping processes
- Methodical, hands-on, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
