What you’ll be doing
This position is responsible for assisting with compliance projects for major clients. Reporting to the Manager, Compliance and Consulting or their designee and a dotted line reporting to the Client’s Customs Manager, this individual will provide logistical support and oversight over service providers for the customer.

You will be responsible for
Pull, combine, and analyze data from various sources (i.e. external websites, broker portal(s), CBP ACE portal, SAP back-tables, etc.) to forecast trade trends and impact of future trade actions.
Create reports, assist in drafting compliance processes and work instructions.
Ensure timely follow up with client’s contacts to obtain necessary documentation.
Manage an Online Shipping System (OSS) to ensure client shipments are exported in compliance with all laws and regulations.
Interact regularly with client’s brokers and compliance service providers, and vendors.
Perform as an integral part of the on-site compliance team.
Participate in meetings and work together as a team to complete projects.
Other duties as assigned by either manager.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

What we need from you
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Business or Data Analytics preferred.
Preferred experience in SAP, SAP business analyzer, MS Access, PowerBI, MS Office Suite.
U.S. Customs Broker License or CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) preferred.
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of HTS classification Principles and determining ECCN export classification codes is an asset.
Intermediate typing skills.
MS Office experience including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong data management skills using Access preferred.
Experience with Business Analyzer Excel add-on preferred.
Experience with PowerBI preferred.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX.
