Job Description
As a Logistic Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of our logistics operations to ensure seamless supply chain management and timely delivery of goods/products/services.
Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to ensure optimal levels of inventory are maintained.
Implement inventory control measures to reduce wastage and enhance efficiency.
Shipping And Transportation Coordination
Coordinate shipping schedules and transportation logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods/products to customers.
Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners to optimize shipping routes and reduce transportation costs.
Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
Warehousing And Distribution
Assist with warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods.
Implement efficient warehouse layout and organization to maximize space utilization and streamline operations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
Maintaining scheduling and communication with carriers
Basic Qualifications
Associates' degree from an accredited college or university; or 5 years equivalent experience
4 years experience in logistics
Understanding key elements of supply chain, such as but not limited to demand and supply planning processes, logistics processes, inventory planning processes
Previous knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI) and/or instrumentation and controls
Strong communications skills across all levels of the organization
Strong understanding of logistics principles, supply chain management, and inventory control.
Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including ERP and WMS platforms.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
1-4 years specific experience in in developing, implementing or supporting portfolio projects in supply chain
Prior demonstrated experience in supply chain, customer service in a specialty chemicals company, preferably in a global scope.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CPIM, CSCP) is a plus
