The Summer Camp Group Leader reports to the Program Coordinator and will primarily work with the summer day camp program. This includes teaching camp groups each week, assisting with the development of curriculum, and assisting with the supervision of interns and volunteers. During non-camp weeks, the Group Leader may choose to take time off or work. If working, group leader will assist with other educational programming, prep for upcoming camp weeks, assist with general facility and grounds upkeep, and other tasks assigned by the Program Coordinator or Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead educator for a camp group each week (ages 6-12), up to 12 children per group
- Rotate in to co-lead half-day preschool age group (ages 4-6) as needed
- Assist in curriculum development
- Assist with general management of the camp program, including helping with check-in and check-out, supervising lunch and free-time, supervise interns and volunteers.
- General upkeep of the facilities, including general cleaning and habitat maintenance as needed
- Other tasks as assigned and needed.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
