Bucks County Estate Traders is seeking an enthusiastic and high-energy leader with a passion for inspiring teams and driving success in a dynamic warehouse environment for our Warehouse Supervisor position
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining organization, productivity, and accountability for the onsite warehouse and on-the-road teams. They are leaders of the day-to-day activities of the Warehouse and Driving teams. Additionally, they oversee the entire process of preparing physical inventory for shipment, including product quality, as well as, collaborating with other supervisors, resolving order-related issues, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, and reporting activities and issues to executive management. This position has direct reports. Some key tasks include (but not limited to):
Overall ObjectivesEnsure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
Develop warehouse operation procedures
Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short-term and long-term performance goals
Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and warehouse logistics
Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
As the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the warehouse staff including Movers, Shipping Desk Associates, and Drivers, the Warehouse Supervisor’s responsibilities are inclusive of all responsibilities of each respective subordinate position. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to delegate these responsibilities and when necessary to perform any such responsibilities when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:Warehouse Operations ManagementEnsure warehouse operations meet productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
Develop, implement, and refine warehouse procedures to optimize workflows.
Oversee daily inventory control, logistics, and shipment preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Supervise the organization of the showroom, loading docks, and vehicles to prevent operational bottlenecks inclusive of but not limited to:
Ensuring loading docks and staging areas are clear when there are not actively in use
Ensuring adequate queues of product are available and accessible to Cleaning, Repair, and Photography Teams at all times.
Ensuring that completed products of the Cleaning, Repair, and Photography Teams are efficiently removed from their respective areas to ensure operational efficiency
Manage the physical processing of new and sold inventory, collaborating with Repair and Customer Care teams to ensure timely intake and delivery.
Create a daily action plan of the activities and responsibilities for each employee under their supervision. This plan will be communicated both verbally and visually at the start of each business day.
Shift and adapt the team to changing priorities to the workload
Hold all team members accountable for:
The cleanliness of their workspace
Their productivity and efficiency
The accuracy of their tasks
Create and/or provide input on new processes for the Warehouse and Driving Teams
Train, mentor, and provide feedback to team members to improve performance.
Complete all applicable safety trainings and enforce OSHA standards
Attend morning management meetings
Approve time off requests for their team
Schedule their employees digitally
Report unscheduled call offs
Fill out disciplinary reports and incident reports
Document and rectify (if applicable) all incidents of damage to vehicles, items, or employees immediately
Participate in performance reviews of reports
Establishes objectives and goals for reports to foster career development
Continually review performance metrics of the team as a whole and each member individually to identify those that need improvement as well as those that are outstanding.
Record errors or incidents that go against BCET procedures or policies. Initiating disciplinary action when necessary
Recommend employee separations for those that do not reach minimal performance goals.
Recruit and participate in the interview process of new candidates
Pay range: Full-time $20 - $25 per hour
Salary : $45,000 - $62,000
