What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher for After-School Programs position at Bucksport Area Child Care Center?
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experience working with children or a degree in early childhood education is preferred but we are willing to train and mentor new childcare professionals
- Physical ability to perform all necessary duties, including walking, swimming, reaching, lifting, crouching or kneeling, actively standing/monitoring, and sitting/playing with children
- Approved Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) and Background Check
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred but we will provide training for new childcare employees
- Ability to perform work requested by Lead Teacher and Center Director
- Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities
- Ability to focus full-attention on classroom activities, including storing cell phones in designated areas
HOURS
BACCC is open after and before standard business operating hours to support working families. However, AT’s will be scheduled to work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
COMPENSATION
$15.00-15.50 based on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Part-time
