Starting salary for our positions is $18 - $19 per hour. Prior experience is REQUIRED. We provide paid training!

Job Description:
Our company provides direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be working in a residential group home setting, and helping lead the individuals of our company with: having a positive experience while out in the community, working on any of their personal goals which can include but not limited to: Socially appropriate behavior, budgeting money, helping with ADL's, cleaning, assisting in: cleaning, cooking, showering, and just being the best support to them. You will manage the individuals PCSP goals, help them with grocery shopping, creating an activities calendar, incorporating monthly in home training with staff. You will assist in overseeing all/any medical appointments. Salary: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour (wage is dependent on candidate experience, and fitting of the job description).

Responsibilities:
- Will be required to drive
- Utilize Person Centered Plans to assess an individual’s needs.
- Transport individuals to and from any planned activity out in the community.
- Working 1 on 1 with each individuals during their designated day & time frames they're available.
- Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
- Monitor, record, and communicate changes in client's condition and respond as appropriate to the needs of the client and family.
- Adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and other governmental regulations.
- Exercise appropriate restraint techniques when interacting with clients to prevent injury.
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in anyway necessary based off of their care plan.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management if needed.
- Implement individualized care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for the individual(s)
- Promote independence and community integration for individuals with disabilities
- Document and maintain accurate records of resident progress and any incidents or changes in behavior
- Creating a monthly activity calendar for the individuals, as well as monthly menu that's created with the individuals within the home.
- Being a Strong and positive support to all the staff within the home that you will oversee.
- Excellent problem solving skills, and being resolution based.
Minimum Requirements:
- MUST HAVE: a Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, and proof of full coverage auto insurance
- Experience in care-giving
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, and drug test upon hire
- Ability to establish a positive and supportive rapport with individuals
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
Skills:
- Knowledge of systems and procedures related to caregiving and support services
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Works well under pressure, and can adapt well to each environment
- Compassion and empathy for working with people with developmental disabilities
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
- Familiarity with individual's rights and the ability to advocate for individuals in your care
- Experience in home care, assisted living, or senior care is a plus

- Weekends as needed
- On-Call if anyone calls in and you are unable to find coverage you will be required to cover said shift.
Experience:
- Disability Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
- Residential Group Home Manager Experience: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
- Safety Care Certification (Preferred)
