Buddy’s Home Furnishings is the third-largest Rent-To-Own (RTO) retail provider of furniture, appliances, and electronics in the United States. Benefits include: * Salary: $24.50 - $25.50 per hour * Paid Time Off * Employee Purchase Discounts * Health & Retirement benefits (vary depending on location) Role Summary: Reporting to the HR Director in Tampa, FL, the Human Resources Assistant will support critical Human Resources functions. The HR Generalist I will provide support in key areas of HR, including talent acquisition, associate lifecycle activities such as onboarding/offboarding, recordkeeping, workforce analytics, associate relations, and other duties as needed.
Requirements/Responsibilities
• 2 or more years' experience in a similar role. Previous experience in retail/RTO preferred.
• Experience using job application boards, professional social networks, and other methods for recruitment. Experience navigating ATS systems.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professional integrity and discretion.
• Effective organizational, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and time-management skills. Experience communicating with all levels of an organization from Management to Entry-level associates.
• Team player, positive attitude, pro-active, self-motivated, and work well unsupervised.
• Detail oriented, skilled at data analysis and reporting, comparing, and investigating potential discrepancies or concerns.
• Excellent ability to recognize and solve problems. Highly skilled at follow-up and follow-through.
• Skilled at handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Learn and become proficient in Paycom HRIS and related databases.
• Proficient in all Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; PowerPoint a plus.
Candidate Plus: HR Certification (SHRM-CP or PHR).
General Physical Requirements:
• Full-Time Position routinely requires prolonged sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
• Standing, walking, stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, touching, handling, reaching, and grabbing as required.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds unassisted or 30 pounds assisted at times.
• Ability to access and navigate each department at the company’s facilities.
