Position Summary
We’re seeking a Controller who thrives in a growing, small-company environment. Reporting directly to the President, the Controller will oversee all day-to-day accounting, purchasing, and finance functions. This is a key leadership role that touches every part of the business—from reconciling books and managing cash flow to implementing a new ERP system and improving financial visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close
- Own the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with necessary entities
- Manage vendor purchasing and monitor pricing, terms, and cost-saving opportunities
- Process payroll and related compliance reporting (with support from outside providers if applicable)
- Support tax filings, audit prep, and coordination with external accountants
- Assist with the implementation and optimization of a new ERP system
- Monitor cash flow, credit card activity, and banking relationships
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Partner with leadership on strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in food manufacturing or CPG
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with purchasing, payroll, and ERP systems
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and accountability
- Self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities in a lean environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP implementation is a strong plus

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
