Window Covering Installer/Technician

Installer/Technician Position: Budget Blinds of Coeur d'Alene, ID

Major Goal: To professionally and accurately install custom products into our customers’ homes and businesses.

The successful candidate will have:

-knowledge of basic carpentry skills using drills, ladders, etc.

-a background check with no issues (drug testing may be asked for).

-the desire to contribute to a growing family owned, small business.

-the ability to work independently in client’s homes creating good rapport and skilled, professional installation.

-flexible mindset to positively adjust your day when the schedule changes

-a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Successful candidate will use a company van and work in an area encompassing Coeur d'Alene, Rathdrum, Post Falls, Harrison and areas in between.

-the desire to learn, be coached and attend trainings to enhance installation and technology skills.

-some basic knowledge of technology and an understanding of what a “Smart Home” is using Google and Alexa.

Reports to: local owners of Budget Blinds of Coeur d'Alene

Time Commitment: 4-5 days per week or as agreed upon. Hours may vary seasonally with our low season of November – February, and increase during our high season of March – October.

Primary Role: The accurate and complete installation of products

Key Area One:

This role will be satisfactorily accomplished when:

· Jobs are installed accurately, and callbacks are held to less than 5% of all assigned installations.

· Arrive on time for the scheduled installation appointment.

· Arrive professionally dressed, well-groomed and show a good professional representation of Budget Blinds.

· Company vans are maintained properly.

· Installation tools are accounted for and maintained.

· Empty boxes and trash are disposed of daily at a garbage facility.

· Storage unit is inventoried and organized daily for newly received shipments, and the van re-stocked for installations for the next day.

Key Area Two: Reviewing the installation and operation with the customer.

This role will be satisfactorily accomplished when:

· The customer is comfortable with the operation of the window coverings and knows where to go if they have further questions or issues.

· The customer is aware of any issues with the installation left outstanding, notes are made on the appropriate paperwork and a resolution is determined and communicated in advance.

· Clear Expectations are communicated to customers for any follow up, repair, or remake work that need to be done

Key Result Area Three: Customer Service and Referrals

This role will be satisfactorily accomplished when:

· The customer has been asked for referrals, and introductions to other homeowners who may need an estimate for new window coverings. A cash bonus is provided for referrals who purchase.

· You have asked the customer for a review and given them our review card. For each online review secured, a cash bonus will be paid.
