Window Treatment Installer

Budget Blinds of Savannah is a locally owned and operated franchise, providing custom shades, shutters, blinds, drapes, home automation and more to clients in Savannah, Ga and surrounding coastal communities.

The Position: Our office is looking to hire and train a new member of our Installation Team whose role will be to professionally and accurately install custom products into our clients’ homes and businesses. The install team member will report directly to the Franchise owner and Operations Manager. As part of the Budget Blinds of Savannah Team, you will be expected to work congruently with our Sales and Office teams to provide a seamless experience for our clients. In-depth training for installation, service, and repair of our product offerings will be provided. Safety regulations and proper measuring and installation practices should be adhered for the duration of each installation.

This is a part-time/full-time position with compensation of $20 - $35 an hour. The possibility of contract work/flexible schedule can be negotiated, should the candidate be a great fit for the position. Full-time personnel will work M-F, 8 or 8:30 am - 5 pm. On rare occasions, installation may begin/end outside of typical hours, with install team being compensated accordingly. Full-time personnel are eligible for Health Insurance benefits, 401k, and accrued paid vacation time after a waiting period. Our team observes paid national holidays and unpaid leave can be requested at the discretion of management.

The Ideal Candidate: Experience in general labor, construction, maintenance, carpentry, installation, etc. is preferred. This job will require tact and ability to make adjustments to the product at time of installation, as well as the ability to repair and service existing treatments. The ideal candidate will be well kept, professional, customer service oriented, and able to provide “white glove” service for our clientele. Branded shirts will be provided and installer will be responsible for wearing clean shirt, pants, and shoes into clients homes. Exceptional customer service and courtesy will be expected.

Position Expectations/Responsibilities:

• Jobs are installed accurately and callbacks are held to less than 5% of all assigned installations.
• You arrive on time for the scheduled installation appointment.
• You arrive professionally dressed, well groomed and show a good professional representation of Budget Blinds.
• The company vans are maintained properly, consideration is given for safety and the interior and the exterior of the vehicle is kept clean and neat.
• Installation tools are accounted for and maintained.
• The warehouse is reviewed daily for newly received shipments, the company van has been cleared of trash and re-stocked for installations for the next day.
• If there are areas of the installation that you are unfamiliar with you contact the Franchise Owner in advance for assistance and not attempt to risk the installation by “winging it”.
• Processes and procedures outlined in training will be strictly followed inside of the client’s home.
• At the end of installation, client is comfortable with product, is aware of any issues, knows who to contact with questions, and has signed off on paper work acknowledging all of the afore mentioned.
• Each window is photographed on company provided iPad before leaving the client’s home.
• The customers home, specifically the area where the installation is being performed, is left in the same or better condition than it was upon your arrival.
• The customer has been thanked for their business before you leave the home. The customer understands how much we appreciate them working with Budget Blinds.
