Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for food production, and the ability to manage inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food production activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring a diverse selection of high-quality dishes.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and best practices.
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and service to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs.
  • Manage catering operations for events, ensuring timely delivery of services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Experience

  • Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management is preferred.
  • Strong background in food production, including knowledge of cooking techniques and presentation.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Familiarity with bartending skills is a plus but not required.
  • Previous work in a catering environment or dietary department is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
