Buehler’s Central Kitchen Production Associates prepare and ship food products for our customers to purchase at our store locations. A typical day for a Central Kitchen Associate may include:
Unpack cans and cartons
Count and record food items
Performing other duties as needed, including specific tasks based on special projects
Set up, start, or load food processing equipment
Check, weigh, and mix ingredients according to recipes
Monitor food cooking machines and make adjustments to the controls for devices such as boilers, ovens, fryers and cookers
Record batch production data
Load raw ingredients into the cooking machine and measure the amount needed by following company recipes and industry standards
Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the end of each shift and clean the workspace at the worker station by following company cleanliness standards
Perform duties on the packaging line by loading and adjusting items
Clean workspaces and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Check final products to ensure quality
Remove the finished product from the production line and push batches to the next step of the process for packaging
Price packaged and processed items according to standard protocols
Label packaged food items appropriately
Assist in loading up final product for store shipments

Our legal team wants you to know what’s required for this role:
Attained at least 18 years of age; or if age 16-17 cannot operate any equipment (slicer, buffalo chopper, etc.)
Must be available to be scheduled 35 hrs a week, based on department needs.
Able to meet the requirements to occasionally stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems
Able to work within our deli/kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, refrigeration coolers, freezers, mixer and chef’s knives…so frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire, cold temperatures and noise
