What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Cutter - Full-Time position at Buehler's Fresh Foods?
FIRST CUTTER: Hourly Lead Person in the Meat Department and responsible for supervising the Department's production activity while working as a senior Meat Cutter. This person's primary duties involve creating and maintaining the Department's cutting list, prioritizing tasks, assigning jobs, and supervising the work of the Cutting Room crew including ordering, receiving and checking-in perishable and non-perishable merchandise, cooler and freezer organization, customer service, product rotation, inventory [Backstock Control], cutting, packaging, sanitation, and housekeeping. Secondary duties assume related activities as required including direct assistance to the Meat Manager in all areas of the Department and covering for him or her in the Manager's absence.
1. Availability: Must be available to be scheduled 35 hrs a week, Early AM 1-2 Nights Until Close; Weekend Rotation.
2. Previous Experience: Must be a Senior Production Cutter with demonstrated leadership abilities.
3. Physical Demands: Lifting, Bending, Stooping, Pulling And Pushing With Repetitive Lifting To 70#; Occasional Lifting To 100#.
4. Other Work Considerations: Must be willing to train at various store locations. Able to provide Quality Supervision; Leadership Skills; Organizational Ability; Customer Relations; Reliable; and Dependable.
