Kingwood Café - Part Time

A typical day for a Part Time Café Position may include:   Loading In and Stocking the cafe Merchandising the Retail area Providing exceptional customer service including greeting guests as well as answering questions Making and Serving hot food, cold food, and beverages while following established food production programs and procedures Maintaining Buehler’s high standards for freshness Implementing safe sanitation and food handling practices per state, county, and local Covid laws and requirements Checking temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning Selling products by providing information the customer needs to make product-related decisions; providing safe samples per Covid Laws. Upselling and Suggesting “Add on” Food and retail items Restocking, Maintaining, and Rotating products and displays Supporting Catering, Garden Gateway Work/Office, and Event Areas on site with special orders and lunch items Operating the kitchen equipment and other commercial food service equipment Processing Cash and Credit Card transactions properly Balancing Cash Drawer at end of each day Preparing Deposits and Making Drops in store safe daily Staying in regular communication with the Café Lead to review and report projections, sales, promotions, events, and corporate marketing initiatives   Available: up to 20hrs a week      Our legal team wants you to know what’s required for this role: Minimum 18 years of age Able to occasionally be required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80# Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures Able to work within our kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives…so frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disability to perform the essential functions
