Responsible for the operation of the Hospital Pharmacy Department including planning, coordinating and supervision of all functions of the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for staffing, training, scheduling and budgeting. Performs all duties necessary to provide for the effective operation of all departmental services and programs in both the hospital and onsite retail pharmacy. Supervises other pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and students/interns in all work areas as assigned. The Director is an integral member of the healthcare team providing leadership to staff. The pharmacy director works alongside clinical staff and physicians assuring safe quality care.
