What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Manager position at BUENA VISTA UNIVERSITY?
Buena Vista University is seeking applicants for an Accounts Receivable Manager responsible for reconciling all receivable accounts, making adjustments to the student accounts, and maintaining the accounts receivable portion of the software database. This position primarily manages Storm Lake (SL) student accounts by working with students and parents regarding their financial obligations, sending billing statements, collecting timely payments, and acting as a BVU representative at required events. This position oversees the institution's application of policies and federal compliance of Storm Lake, Online, and Graduate student accounts, BVU administered loans, outstanding account balances, and specialized education and military income.
To be successful, this position requires the ability to work in a confidential environment, have strong attention to detail, provide excellent customer service, be a self-starter and successfully work within a team and across departments. Candidates should have previous experience or knowledge of accounts receivable and accounting software programs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
