Buena Vista University is seeking candidates for a full-time Campus Security Officer. Campus Security Officers serve as first responders to all campus emergencies, including medical and criminal incidents. Officers complete incident and maintenance reports, engage positively with the campus community, and patrol buildings and grounds.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Respond to campus emergencies and provide assistance.
- Complete detailed incident and maintenance reports.
- Patrol campus buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe environment throughout.
- Foster a sense of safety and trust through positively with the Campus Community through building strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Implement University rules and regulations and local laws.
Qualifications:
- Have and maintain a valid Iowa driver's license with a good driving record.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; some college or previous experience preferred.
- Complete and maintain First Aid, CPR, and Pepper Spray certifications.
