Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves teaching various mathematical concepts, including algebra, discrete math, and differential equations, to students at different levels. The Mathematics Teacher will create an engaging learning environment and support students in achieving their academic goals.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Teach a range of mathematical topics, including algebra, discrete math, differential equations, and genetics-related math applications.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate students with diverse needs and ensure inclusivity in the classroom.
- Foster relationships with students to encourage participation and engagement in mathematical discussions.
- Stay updated on current educational practices and integrate technology into the classroom when appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education with a focus on mathematics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including algebra, discrete math, differential equations, genetics, organic chemistry, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics efficiently.
