YOUR DAY TO DAY AS A GUEST SERVICES ASSOCIATE
As a Part-Time Guest Services Associate at The Buffalo History Museum, you will provide exceptional customer assistance in the Guest Reception area, warmly welcoming guests to the Museum. Your role includes admitting guests to the museum, answering guest questions in person and via telephone, selling memberships, event tickets, and merchandise from the Museum Shop. You will maintain a thorough understanding of museum information and operational procedures, sharing details about our exhibits, programs and events with guests.
Working within a cohesive team in an open, public space, you'll amicably resolve issues with dissatisfied guests and recognize trends in visitation. Your responsibilities also include referring guests to the appropriate Museum resources, balancing the cash drawer at the end of your shift, and assisting in shop inventory management. Additionally, you will support administrative duties as assigned by the Operations Team, making your contributions vital to the Museum's success.
