Duties:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Prepare food to order within the guidelines of recipes.
- Prep food to recipes and ensure proper food handling.
- Take customer orders and accurately input them into the cash register
- Operate various equipment such as espresso machines, blenders, and coffee grinders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed when handling food items
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and making recommendations
- Upsell additional products or menu items to increase sales
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer throughout the shift
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and smooth workflow
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of retail math for cash handling purposes is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
