Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Crew Foreman to lead a team of concrete professionals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all phases of concrete construction, including grading, forming, pouring, and finishing of various concrete structures such as sidewalks, curb and gutter, steps, pads, slabs, and concrete restoration and repair. We at Buffalo specialize in repair and replace, punch list and dedication items as well as new concrete construction. As a foreman, you will supervise daily operations, ensure safety compliance, and manage the quality of work performed on-site. You will be responsible for guiding your crew to meet project deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Supervision: Lead, direct, and motivate a team of concrete workers to ensure efficient and high-quality work in all aspects of concrete construction.
- Concrete Construction: Oversee and perform all phases of concrete work including grading, forming, pouring, finishing, and restoration for various projects such as sidewalks, curb and gutter, steps, pads, slabs, and repairs.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to review project plans, schedules, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets company and industry standards. Address any issues related to workmanship or material defects.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all crew members follow OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and conduct routine maintenance and inspections.
- Problem Solving: Resolve any challenges or issues that arise during the workday, such as weather conditions, equipment malfunctions, or labor shortages.
- Training & Development: Mentor and train crew members on best practices, safety procedures, and technical skills in concrete construction.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in all phases of concrete construction, including grading, forming, pouring, finishing, restoration, and repair.
- At least 2 years of experience as a foreman or crew leader, with the ability to manage a team and coordinate work efficiently.
- Strong understanding of concrete mix designs, curing processes, safety procedures, and construction codes.
- Heavy Equipment Operating: 2 years (preferred)
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)
- Grading: 1 year (preferred)
- Driver’s License (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
