Case Manager or Social Worker in Child Protection

Buffalo County is seeking applicants for the Case Manager / Social Worker position within the Child Protective Services unit to work out of the Buffalo County Courthouse in Alma, WI.

Summary of Duties

• Provides case management services
• Arranges services with most appropriate providers
• Refers clients that are potentially eligible for financial or medical assistance to the appropriate agency/s as well as other potential services available as appropriate.
• Works closely with other agencies in collaboration for assessment and service needs of clients
• Provides on call services on a rotating schedule

Minimum Requirements:

• Case Manager-Associate degree in Social Work, Criminal Justics, Psychology, Sociology, or a similar Human Services field. At least one year of experience serving the target population of children and/or families. Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Social Worker-Bachelor of Social Work, Wisconsin Social Worker Certification (permanent or temporary) or qualify for a Social Work Training Certificate. Wisconsin Social Worker certification is preferred, and if not certified at time of hire, must obtain within the first two years of placement in the position and maintain ongoing certification. At least one year of experience serving the target population of children and/or families. Maintain a valid driver's license.

Hours:

This position has core work hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and will be rotating on-call hours.

Compensation:

The hourly range for Case Manager is $24.46 to $31.44 with the incumbent range starting at $24.46 to $25.85. This position is classified as FLSA non-exempt.

The pay range for Social Worker is $26.29 to $33.81 paid on a bi-weekly salary basis with the incumbent range starting at $26.29 to $27.80. This position is classified as FLSA exempt.
