Job summary:

The Lead Load Builder position is responsible for picking materials for jobsite deliveries, and supporting other yard personnel with material management. The Lead Load Builder reports to the Logistics Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Create material packages for jobsite delivery. Materials include lumber of various sizes, species and grades, OSB and plywood panel products, wood and fiber cement siding, soffits, and trim, framing hardware, and various brands of weather barrier wraps, tapes, flashings and adhesives.

• Support and occasionally train Load Builders on product knowledge and load assembly and checking

• Aid in organization of yard inventory

• Coordinate priority of work orders with the Logistics Manager and the Load Builders

• Work with Buying and Inventory team to understand new materials for upcoming projects

Qualifications and Experience:

• Comprehensive product knowledge of lumber and building materials required.

• Warehouse forklift experience preferred.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

• High school diploma/GED preferred.

• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

• Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing/pulling, twisting, standing, and walking.

• The ability to lift/carry over 50 lbs. repeatedly.
