Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the dental office, including scheduling appointments, overseeing patient flow, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Supervise and train office staff, fostering a collaborative team environment while promoting professional development.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws.
- Implement and manage practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient patient management and billing processes.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure high-quality care is delivered consistently.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, managed care practices, and critical care protocols relevant to dental health.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical management or practice management within a dental or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical records management and understanding of medical terminology is essential.
- Experience with supervising staff and managing team dynamics effectively.
- Knowledge of veterinary practices may be beneficial but is not required.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
